Bo Hanson has significant experience in the innovation economy. He recently launched Innovation Banking in Hong Kong, which is a new proposition for HSBC focused on the burgeoning economy segment.
Prior to Innovation Banking, Bo was with SVB for more than 15 years in several capacities in the US and Asia. In 2013, he was appointed to establish the Hong Kong Representative Office and expand the business footprint in Asia. He managed team members based in in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, and San Francisco that focused on relationships with VC/PE and innovation companies. Bo also led strategic initiatives exploring the expansion of the SVB platform with different business lines and geographic locations.
Prior to his Asia experience, Bo held several roles in the US within banking, investing, and the global expansion teams. All his roles have been focused on the innovation and investment economy delivering range of financial services, capital strategies and solutions, and rich industry connection globally.
